Feeding the Soul of the City Is Back

Feeding the Soul of the City Is Back

We are happy to announce the 2021-22 FSOC concert series programs that will start in October and run through May 2022.

There will be seven concerts (note changes from the FSOC Mailer):

October 26         –       Ruth & Max Bloomquist, folk duo

November 23   – Diane Penning, soprano, and Robert Byrens, piano “From Broadway to Opera and Back”

December 14   – Thomas Gouwens, organist “Christmas at the Organ”

February 22     – Gregory Maytan, Solo Violin

March 22     – The Grand Rapids Guitar Quartet

April 26 Pablo Mahave-Veglia, cello, with the GVSU Chamber Orchestra w. Henry Duitman

May 24 Denise Newell, mezzo-soprano, and Caron Farmer, piano

All performances are held from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.  There will be a few minutes of prayer just before they begin.  As always, the concerts are free and open to the public.

While it is a shorter season than usual, it gets us back into action with a variety of excellent performers.  We expect to have a full series next season.

I will be sending out sponsorship letters soon.  Concert sponsorships are available for a minimum of $100 per concert.  Checks should be payable to FSOC with the name of the sponsored concert and mailed to the church office.  If you are not on our mailing list and would like to be, please contact Elizabeth at ebsnflows@gmail.com.

Flyers for the series are available at the church.  Be sure to pick one up.

This year—2021—marks the 20th anniversary of Feeding the Soul of the City. Please help us celebrate this milestone by attending as many concerts as you can.
