Education Opportunities

Lectionary Bible Study (weekly)

Every Thursday morning at 10:30am, we meet for a bible study, and discuss the readings that will appear in the service the following Sunday. All are welcome to join.

Book Club (quarterly)

A new addition to this area is a Book Club.  The first book discussed was Nadia Bolz-Weber, Shameless, a Sexual Restoration.  We are searching for books that we might discuss and any suggestions are welcome. In the past we have offered small group study of Wells, Hanging by a Thread, Henri J.M. Nouwen, The Path of Waiting, and Rachel Held Evans Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again and Inspired.

Other Education Opportunities

We plan to offer new programs of Christian study for the Fall of 2019. In the past we have offered reading and discussion of The Gospel of Mary Magdalene with related study of the Gospel of Thomas, viewing and discussion of movies such as “Coolhand Luke,” “The Bishop’s Wife,” “All Saints,” “The Shack,” “Paul” and others. Planning is now taking place and any suggestions for books or movies are welcome.
